Geronimo's goal is to bring the benefits of clean energy to communities throughout the Midwest by developing wind farms that are farmer friendly, community driven, and good for the environment.
Geronimo has a significant pipeline of wind farms in various stages of development throughout the Midwest with an aggregate nameplate capacity exceeding 4,000 megawatts of clean energy, or roughly enough to power 1.5 million American homes.
Geronimo's Development Process
The process of developing a wind farm is complex and can take anywhere from three to seven years. Key aspects of the development process include:
Building a relationship with landowners and their communities
Measuring the quality of the wind resource
Gaining access to transmission
Procuring, permitting and siting the wind turbines
Selling the power the wind farm generates
This is accomplished while keeping in mind the project’s environmental impact and its constructability.
