Geronimo Energy develops wind farms throughout the United States in locations where there is robust wind resource, suitable transmission access, and receptive communities. This combination is crucial for successful wind energy development projects that deliver low cost energy to customers across America.
Geronimo focuses on locating project areas with suitable transmission access. Geronimo’s wind projects are appropriately scaled to complement the available transmission capacity in the area, thus offering our customers access to inexpensive wind power with lessened risks of curtailment and depressed market pricing due to transmission constraints. Geronimo employs some of the country’s foremost interconnection and transmission experts, who together boast dozens of years of experience working with developers, utilities and corporations.
Wind Energy for Utilities and Independent Power Producers
We work with utility companies of all types and sizes. Together, we’ve constructed wind farms – but more importantly, we’ve built true partnerships that deliver the means to meeting these utilities’ sustainability goals. Utilities and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) have the option to utilize Geronimo’s national portfolio of green field developments, or bring us on to develop their own identified projects. We have successfully developed and sold over 1,600 megawatts of wind energy to a variety of North American utilities and IPPs. We also have an impressive portfolio of newly developed wind farms for which we are looking for off-takers.
Wind Energy for Corporations, Government Agencies and Non-Utility Organizations
Purchasing renewable energy today is not just the right thing to do – it can yield a profit for corporations. Leading companies are realizing that it is now possible to profit while attaining their green initiatives. Corporations no longer have to invest in on-site renewable generation: wind farms located in low cost, highly efficient, off-site geographies prove that purchasing renewable energy is not just good for the environment – it’s also a prudent business strategy.
